Thanks to everyone for their birthday greetings, yesterday. Especially as I'm awful at remembering other people's. I spent a very nice evening with my folks, out for a meal in a French bistro. Salutory sight this morning driving to work. The road I drive on has a bad reputation - it has a lot of commuter traffic on it, but is full of twists and bends with few safe places to over take. I drove into a pheasant this afternoon. Stupid suicidal bird. Sadly, driving around the rural fastnesses I work in, there are a lot of pheasants around at this time of year.
